Brachial plexus


1.Comprises of C5678T1 nerve roots.

2. Consists of Root, trunk, division ,cord.

3.Two branches are given from root ie.
  • DORSAL SCAPULAR nerve supplies rhomboides major and minor
  • LONG THORACIC NERVE supolies Serratius anterior


4. Trunks give of two branches that too superior trunk
  • SUPRASCAPULAR N. supply supraspinatus and infraspinatus
  • N TO SUBCLAVIUS


5. No nerve given from division

6.CORDS
Lateral cord
  •   Lateral pectoral nerve
  •   musculocutaneous
  •   Lateral cord of median n.

POSTERIOR CORD
  • Upper scapular 
  • Lower scapular
  • Nerve to latissmus dorsi 
  • Axillary nerve
  • Radial.nerve

MEDIAL.CORD
  • Medial cord of median nerve
  • Medial pectoral.nerve
  • Medial cutaneous n of arm
  • Medial cutaneous n of forearm
  • Ulnar nerve.

7. End nerves are
  1. Musculocutaneous
  2. Axillary
  3. Radial
  4. Median
  5. Ulnar
